Description:

The Center for Women's Health Research (CWHR) at the Anschutz Medical Campus works to prevent, treat and cure cardiovascular and metabolic diseases in women. Through research that takes into account sex differences we are making breakthroughs that improve the health of both women and men.

In partnership with the Society for Women's Health Research, we aim to convene the best minds in sex-difference research to share knowledge and ideas, while setting the stage for the next pivotal scientific research in this area.

This conference will showcase top scientists doing sex-difference research. The theme for 2016 focuses on metabolism in all stages of life. In addition to updates from senior scientists, the conference will also expose the talent of the CWHR's junior scientists who are being invited to present their work in dynamic 5-minute updates. Their presence will further the CWHR's mission of mentorship and collaboration across career generations.

A collaborative, productive environment will be fostered through interactive sessions, focus groups, and key note speakers. Conference attendees will part with new ideas and a dynamic plan for research that will lead us to our next conference in the fall of 2018.
