Clinical Research Fellowship Award in Women's Health
About the Award
This fellowship award provides $35,000 in support of endocrine research in the area of women's health with a preference in menopause research. The recipient(s) will receive a stipend, one-year complimentary membership in the Endocrine Society, and one-year complimentary access to four of the Society's online journals.
The Clinical Research Fellowship Award is supported by Pfizer, Inc.
Award Currently Not Available
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must be an MD, DO, or MD/PhD fellow
Must be enrolled in the first through third year of training in a U.S. adult or pediatric clinical endocrinology program
Only one application per mentor may be submitted.
Additional award criteria:
The mentors of the previous year's recipients are not eligible to sponsor an application.
The following items must be received to constitute a complete application:
Completed online form
Curriculum Vitae, including publications, mailing address, and email address
Scientific Abstract (350 maximum)
Research Plan (5 pages maximum) addressing:
Background and significance
Career Development Plan, developed with mentor (paragraph form, 1 page maximum)
Summary of research goals
Applicant's plan to achieve those goals during the award period and beyond
Two letters of support, including one from applicant's mentor which must be submitted directly from the mentor to the Endocrine Society.
The following items from the applicant's institution must also be submitted:
Institutional Review Board (IRB) Statement indicating status of approval for applicant’s research proposal.
Statement from Section Head or Department Chair indicating applicant will be able to devote 75% FTE toward goals of proposed research.
Statement of Other Funding Support (1 page maximum statement from mentor disclosing any other funds supporting the applicant’s research project)
