Early Career Special Interest Group provides the opportunity to accelerate your career by growing your peer network. Join now then engage with your peers in the SIG DocMatter subgroup on DocMatter, our online community.  

Programs and Awards for Fellows 

  • Fellows Training Series is a comprehensive program designed to support program directors and prepare the next generation of endocrinologists. Gain access to the premier self-assessment tool in the field, the In-Training Exam (ITE), in addition to procedural assessment tools and topical modules. 
  • Excellence in Clinical Endocrinology Leadership (ExCEL) program offers comprehensive leadership training and mentorship to early career physicians of communities underrepresented in medicine and science. 
  • Early Career Forum is a day-long workshop at ENDO 2023 that connects early career professionals with today’s leading endocrinology experts to gain new tools and perspectives.   

Programs and Awards for Postdocs 

  • Early Investigator Awards provide monetary support to assist in the development of early career investigators and recognition of their accomplishments in areas of general endocrinology.
  • Future Leaders Advancing Research in Endocrinology (FLARE) program provides structured leadership development to basic science and clinical research trainees, and junior faculty from underrepresented minority communities who have demonstrated achievement in endocrine research.
  • Early Career Forum is a day-long workshop at ENDO 2023 that connects early career professionals with today’s leading endocrinology experts to gain new tools and perspectives.

Dr. Antentor Othrell Hinton, Jr. is on tenure track to become Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at Vanderbilt University. He has mentored 70 graduate, medical, postbac students, undergraduate students, medical residents, and postdoc fellows, and was awarded three University-wide awards for mentorship and an organizational mentorship award.
