Submitting Your Application

Qualifications for the Award:

  • The candidate must be an endocrine fellow currently in training or a junior faculty member for less than 5 years. The award recipient will be encouraged to become a member of the Endocrine Society upon receipt of the award and continue to contribute to endocrine science.
  • The competitive award will be considered from among candidates who submit an abstract to ENDO 2022. The Awardee will be selected based on:
    • The quality of the abstract
    • The quality of his/her science in general
  • Application for the award must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from a current member of the Endocrine Society detailing opinions regarding:
    • Quality of the science
    • Personal character of the potential award candidate
    • Overall potential of the candidate as an academic endocrinologist
  • The awardee will usually be considered from the international community as defined by residence outside of the USA, with emphasis to select candidates from countries with emerging economies; but a candidate from the USA could be considered under unusual circumstances.
  • No restrictions for the award will be placed regarding any candidate’s ethnicity, race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Submitting Your Application

  1. To be considered for this award, you must complete a short online application, along with uploading your supporting documents before proceeding to submit an abstract to ENDO 2022. Once we receive your complete package, we will provide you with a code to submit your abstract free of charge.  
  2. Submit your Curriculum Vitae.
  3. Obtain and submit a letter of recommendation from current member of the Endocrine Society with an assessment of:
    1. The quality of the science of the candidate
    2. The personal character of the potential awardee candidate
    3. Overall potential of the candidate as an academic endocrinologist
  4. Submit a one-page personal statement outlining career goals, talent, motivation and interest.
  5. Provide verification of current training or job status indicating that you are an Endocrinology fellow in training or a junior faculty member for less than five years. (i.e. copy of degree or certificate)
