Claiming Credits and Certificate of Participation

The entire CEU 2020 program is certified for 28.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and ABIM MOC points, and 27.95 AANP Credits (including 15.35 hours of pharmacology). The evaluation is now available in our Center for Learning. Note, presentation slides will be available when you access the evaluation.

Please follow these instructions to claim your credits or certificate of participation:

STEP 1: Visit

STEP 2: Log in (upper right corner of page).
STEP 3: Click START to begin the evaluation.
STEP 4: Click preference of CME/MOC, AANP, or Certificate of Participation.

If claiming MOC, confirm your ABIM Diplomate number and click to update if necessary. Completing the evaluation without an accurate ABIM number will result in no credit reported.

Evaluations must be completed by December 31, 2020 to receive credit.

Statement of Need

The overall goal of this course is to review and update knowledge and competency for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of endocrine diseases.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:

  • Demonstrate updated knowledge of the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, dyslipidemia, as well as adrenal, metabolic, bone, pituitary, thyroid, and reproductive disorders.
  • Practice updated clinical skills for more effective diagnosis, management, and treatment of endocrine disorders and releted sequelae.
  • Apply updated knowledge and clinical skills in improving patient care.

Target Audience

This course is intended for physicians, fellows, and other healthcare professionals caring for individuals with or at risk of developing endocrine conditions.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)


The Endocrine Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Endocrine Society designates this enduring material for a maximum of 28.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activities.

While offering CME credits noted above, this program is not intended to provide extensive training or certification in the field.

CE CreditAANP Accreditation

This activity is approved for 27.95 contact hours of continuing education (which includes 15.35 hours of pharmacology) by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Activity ID 20084443. This activity was planned in accordance with AANP Accreditation Standards and Policies.

Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 28.75 points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
