Highlights of the Management of Transwomen from Adolescence Through Early Adulthood

Session Description: This session will review the approach to medical and non-endocrinological evaluation and treatment of young transwomen who self-identify as female between the onset of puberty and age 30.

  1. Summarize the rationale and the benefits of risks of hormone-congruent therapy initiated early in puberty for transwomen.
  2. Identify, initiate, and manage safe and effective hormone-congruent regimens for transwomen.
  3. Describe approaches on the preservation of fertility and long-term optimization of cardiovascular and bone health.
