Session Description: This session will address the presentation, diagnosis, workup, and management of medullary thyroid carcinoma.

  1. Identify considerations surrounding initial diagnosis and genetic testing in medullary thyroid cancer.
  2. Determine the appropriate initial therapy and postoperative surveillance for medullary cancer patients.
  3. Identify patients with advanced and metastatic medullary cancer who are appropriate candidates for directed therapies and systemic therapies.
