Call for Clinical Guideline Topics

The Endocrine Society invites you to use this form to propose a topic for a new Endocrine Society-developed clinical guidance document. The Endocrine Society’s Clinical Guidelines Committee will assess proposed topics based (in part) on the following criteria:

  • Presence/absence of high-quality guidelines related to the proposed topic
  • Importance of the proposed topic to endocrinologists, primary care practitioners, and the public
  • Presence/absence of controversy and/or uncertainty surrounding the proposed topic

Types of Endocrine Society clinical guidance documents may include:

  • Clinical Practice Guidelines: These will include recommendations informed by systematic reviews of the evidence and an explicit assessment of the benefits and harms of options. Clinical Practice Guidelines are especially useful when high- and/or moderate-quality data are available to inform recommendations.
  • Expert Consensus Reports:These products will address topics with a limited evidence base (e.g., rare endocrine disorders) and will be largely based on consensus of expert opinion.

The deadline to submit your topic for consideration is October 1, 2020.
