Reproductive Endocrinology at ENDO 2020

Meeting-Within-a-Meeting

Our popular Basic Science Pathways are back and have been enhanced to ensure your meeting experience focuses in on the topic area you need. These special “meeting within a meeting” tracks integrate focused discussions, poster sessions, and networking opportunities providing you with an ideal way to surround yourself with the latest research. Here are some of the Sessions already scheduled for the Reproductive Endocrinology Pathway.

Each track will offer electronic poster previews to help facilitate the viewing of the top scoring abstracts within each topic and receptions to be held at the end of each program. View session and reception information below, Oral Abstract and Poster Sessions information will be available closer to the meeting.

(S) Environmental Obesogens (9:45 AM – 11:15 AM)

Chemicals in the environment contribute to the obesity epidemic. A better understanding of how these obesogens can induce metabolic dysregulation including insulin resistance, diabetes, and fatty liver disease will be addressed.

(S) Ice Ice Baby: Fertility Preservation (4:15 PM – 5:45 PM)

State-of-the-art approaches for gamete preservation with consideration for emerging and challenging cases.

Sunday, March 29, 2020

(S) The Brain on Puberty (9:15 AM – 10:45 AM)

Disrupted neuroendocrine communication can cause disorders of puberty. This session focuses on signaling mechanisms governing puberty and reproduction.

(S) Placenta Intra and Extracellular Vesicle Trafficking Impacts Pregnancy Outcomes (4:00 PM – 5:30 PM)

The placenta is a critical organ that also functions as the interface between mother and fetus. We are beginning to understand how the placenta impacts overall outcomes through intracellular and extracellular trafficking.

Monday, March 30, 2020

(S) The Inequalities of Reproduction Split Between Sperm and Egg (9:15 AM – 10:45 AM)

Reproduction may equally require male and female gametes, yet the differential influences of each due to mechanisms such as germ cell imprinting and oocyte mitochondria, has a significant long term impact to the health of the offspring. This session will present the latest discoveries that uncovers the role of nutrition in oogenesis, impact of epigenetics to human male gametogenesis and even challenging the barriers for same sex reproduction.

(S) Disorders of Sex Development (4:15 PM – 5:45 PM)

Impairment of fetal organ development has potential long term health conseqences. A better understanding of genetics, hormones and cell lineage specification is critical to understand long term health consequences linked to sexual development.

(R) Reproductive Endocrinology (5:30 PM–7:00 PM)

Network with your colleagues and leaders in the field.

Tuesday, March 31, 2020

(S) PCOS in Adolescence and Beyond (8:00 AM – 9:30 AM)

We are beginning to understand the impact of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome in adolescence and young women. Therapeutic options including lifestyle modifications early may decrease long term adverse outcomes.

(S) Infertility Genetics and Epigenetics of Disease with Clinical Implications (11:45 AM – 1:15 PM)

Genetics and epigenetics play a significant role in the disease that affects ovarian and testicular function, with long term implications in fertility. We are beginning to understand how this impacts clinical care.
