Ancillary Symposia at ENDO Online 2020

Ancillary Symposia are developed through Endocrine Society’s Continuing Medical Education Services (CMES) and Special Programs Committee (SPC). All Ancillary Symposia are CME certified by Endocrine Society and are planned and conducted under the supervision of the SPC in strict compliance with the Essential Standards & Guidelines of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

Improving Outcomes in Acromegaly: Let Your Patients Be Your Guide

In collaboration with Vindico Medical Education

Through didactic presentations and challenging case scenarios, this program will provide an opportunity to address the pathophysiology and clinical symptomology, examine common comorbidities, review treatment options associated with acromegaly and encourage health care professionals to change their practice behaviors to improve their patients’ health. This symposium is certified for 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and 1.5 ABIM MOC points.

Breaking Bad: Reducing Glucose Variability and Increasing Time in Range in Patients with Diabetes

 

This program will feature informative sessions directed by key opinion leaders who will discuss different aspects of diabetes technology from the scientific basis to the clinical integration of diabetes technology and time in range in their day-to-day practice. A case workshop will follow the educational series where challenging, real clinical cases will be provided to the attendees and attendees will answer the case questions through the Audience Response System (ARS). Following each case, the expert faculty presenters will discuss their approach to the cases. This symposium is certified for 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and 1.5 ABIM MOC points.

Breaking the Cycle: Approaches to Long-term Weight Loss and Obesity Care

 

Through multiple educational approaches to engage learners in an interactive discussion, this program will focus on evidence-based methods for addressing obesity and managing comorbidities in a compassionate manner. This program will be case-based and will walk through the lifecycle of a patient with obesity. Faculty will present didactic presentations as well as interact with a standardized patient to emulate interactions one might encounter in a clinic. This symposium is certified for 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and 1.5 ABIM MOC points.

Blazing Ahead with Advances in the Management of Adult Growth Hormone Disorder

In collaboration with Institute for Medical and Nursing Education (IMNE)

This program will focus on advances and challenges in the management of adult growth hormone deficiency (aGHD). The goal of this activity is to answer as many clinician questions as possible regarding the management of patients with aGHD. This highly engaging interactive program will feature the hot°seat™ activity format which consist of a combination of didactic presentations and roundtable discussions. This symposium is certified for 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and 1.5 ABIM MOC points.

Severe Hypoglycemia: The Frequently Forgotten Threat

This program will be presented as a master clinician style symposium. It will contain informative sessions directed by endocrinology experts specializing in diabetes who will address the lack of hypoglycemia awareness, lead the review of Endocrine Society’s Hypoglycemic Prevention Initiative (HPI), and discuss management strategies and current pipeline methods to lower severe hypoglycemia. Following each key topic, challenging clinical cases will be presented and discussed among distinguished experts in the field. This symposium is certified for 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and 1.5 ABIM MOC points.
