The Nominating Committee is responsible for identifying the Society’s future leadership. Taking into account our strategic plan, short-term priorities and leadership needs, the Nominating Committee will:
Ensure that the Board, President and Secretary-Treasurer reflect the Society’s broad diversity and embody the leadership competencies needed to advance our strategic plan;
Use insight from the annual communication from the Board identifying future organizational priorities and desired competencies for Board members and use this insight to inform decisions;
Issue an annual “Call for Nominees” to all members to identify potential members of the Board of Directors, and President and Secretary-Treasurer positions; screen and select members of the Board and the Secretary-Treasurer; present a slate of two candidates for President to the membership for a general election; and
Provide insight to the Board of Directors on potential long-term leadership needs; provide suggestions to the President-elect of individuals with future leadership potential for committee appointment.
The term of service on the Nominating Committee is 3 years.
The committee typically meets in-person twice a year (once at ENDO) with multiple calls throughout the year.
