We’re proud of our reputation for hosting large, world-class educational and networking events, such as ENDO, Clinical Endocrinology Update, and Endocrine Board Review. These broad-based meetings meet the needs of our diverse membership, with a nod to our clinician members.
That said, we also have a growing track record of holding smaller programs focused on the needs of our researchers and scientists. These include the 2024 Steroid Hormone Receptor Conference, and the 2024 Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Virtual Summit.
We’re delighted to announce a new initiative that aims to increase our offerings of such finely curated meetings.
The Society is seeking proposals for what we call Science Summits. These small meetings, of no more than 200 attendees, are intended to serve the education and collaboration needs of basic and clinical scientists.
Topics that may be well suited for a Science Summit, hosted by the Society, include:
We know the Society is comprised of top endocrine scientists working at leading institutions. This is an opportunity for these professionals to submit proposals for programs that could benefit researchers around the world.
If this sounds intriguing, we encourage you to visit endocrine.org/science-summits, where you will find a link to submit your proposals. The deadline to submit is October 31.
On this page, you also will find details of what makes a successful proposal. Right off the bat, we’d ask that you provide a clear, concise, and compelling overview of your proposed summit. This includes a rationale for why this topic is significant now, defined goals, and anticipated outcomes.
Also crucial for a successful proposal is a description of the scientific novelty, urgency, and how it aligns with the Society’s mission. If applicable, please include any specific, measurable outcomes from similar past events, such as attendance and demographics.
In addition, your proposal should include a program agenda that details interactive sessions, keynotes, panels, and/or poster presentations.
Other important factors to address include:
In today’s uncertain research environment, we recognize the need to provide forums where scientists can gather and discuss topics that advance endocrine and related knowledge. We’re excited to make these Science Summits a reality.
