The Society introduced its Scientific Statement on compounded bioidentical hormones used to treat menopausal symptoms and other hormone conditions during the April 1, 2016 event. The press conference also featured researchers who successfully engineered and implanted a prosthetic ovary in mice, scientists investigating the link between polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and asthma, and researchers who developed a new method to predict post-menopausal bone loss.
