Henry Anhalt, DO

Dr. Henry Anhalt is a physician scientist who has had a career spanning academia, industry, non-profit and most recently biotech at a start-up called Science37 where he serves as Vice President of Medical Affairs. Science37's mission is to democratize science by bringing clinical trials to the homes of patients. Dr. Anhalt attended Yeshiva University (BA) and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). He did a rotating internship at The Brookdale University Hospital Center (SUNY Downstate), and his pediatric residency and chief residency at Winthrop University Hospital (SUNY Stonybrook). Dr. Anhalt completed his pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Stanford University. After returning to the east coast in 1995, Dr. Anhalt served as division chief at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, followed by division chief and fellowship program director (SUNY Downstate) at Maimonides Medical Center. Subsequently he served as division chief at St. Barnabas Medical Center. In 2008 he joined Animas corporation where he was responsible for the development of an artificial pancreas system. At Sanofi he was North American head of medical affairs which was followed by his appointment as chief medical officer at the T1D Exchange.

Dr. Anhalt has served on and chaired several committees within the Society including the Hormone Health Network, and Advocacy and Public Outreach Core Committee. He serves on the editorial board of Endocrine Reviews, has authored over 40 original manuscripts, dozens of abstracts, consensus statements, textbook chapters and clinical reviews. He maintains a practice in Hackensack, NJ.
