Jeffrey Boord, MD, MPH is the Chief Quality and Safety Officer for Parkview Health, a community not-for-profit health system based in Northeast Indiana. He is also a practicing clinical endocrinologist with expertise in diabetes, lipid disorders, and cardiometabolic medicine, and is a Volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine- Fort Wayne.
He earned his medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, completed internal medicine residency at University of Michigan Hospitals, and endocrinology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in healthcare quality with the Veterans Affairs National Quality Scholars Fellowship Program and earned his master’s degree in public health from Vanderbilt University.
An expert in patient safety and workforce safety in healthcare, he serves as Co-Chair of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Leadership Alliance’s Workforce Safety Workgroup, and as a member of the Indiana Hospital Association Council on Quality and Patient Safety. He is currently serving as Chair of the Endocrine Society’s Hypoglycemia Prevention Initiative Steering Committee and is a member of the Society’s Innovative Models of Care in Diabetes Task Force. He is also currently a member of the Finance and Audit Committee and Investment Subcommittee. He has previously served as a member of the Special Programs Committee.
