Daniel Spratt, MD

Daniel Spratt, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Ob/Gyn at Tufts University School of Medicine teaching on both the Boston and Portland (Maine) campuses. After obtaining a B.S. in Biology at Stanford, he graduated from University of Michigan Medical School. His residency in Internal Medicine at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center was followed by a research and clinical fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital where he worked with Dr. Bill Crowley in the Reproductive Endocrine Unit. Since then, his focus in patient care, teaching and research has been reproductive endocrinology. Dr. Spratt is Co-Director of the Reproductive Health Curriculum at TUSM and recently served 6 years on the Curriculum Committee participating in building the current TUSM medical school curriculum. He also teaches as a Professor of Biology in the postbacc program at Harvard.

Dr. Spratt has received numerous local and national awards for his teaching and mentoring; most recently the 2023 Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics Humanism in Teaching Award, the 2024 ENDO Presidential Award for research his students presented and the 2025 Tufts University School of Medicine Award for Excellence in Teaching (awarded by the students of the Class of 2025)

Dr. Spratt’s work with the Society has included serving on Clinical Affairs Core Committee, the Advocacy and Public Outreach Core Committee, the Finance Committee, the Publications Core Committee, the Nominating Committee and the Endocrine Ethics and Professionalism Committee. He chaired APOCC (previously the Government Affairs Committee) and the Publications Core Committee. Following his work with the PCC he served as the Endocrine Society Journals Statistics Adviser. He has also chaired or co-chaired multiple Society task forces, search committees and working groups. Dr. Spratt currently serves as one of two Endocrine Society delegates to the AMA working on advocacy issues.
During his time in Maine, he has established an REI presence in the state including an REI Clinic serving patients throughout the state, clinical and research curricula for residents, a state-of-the-art IVF facility (the first and only in the state), and an adult division of the MMC Gender Clinic.
