Janet B. McGill, MD

Janet McGill photoJanet B. McGill, MD, is a Professor Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Lipid Research at Washington University. She received her doctorate from Michigan State University and completed her internship and residency at William Beaumont Hospital. She has been an active clinical researcher in diabetes for over 25 years and continues to test new therapies for diabetes and novel approaches to type 1 and type 2 diabetes. 

Currently, Dr. McGill is the principal investigator or sub-investigator on more than 10 clinical trials investigating new treatments for diabetes and its complications and serves on planning committees and data safety monitoring boards for a number of ongoing national and international clinical trials. She is a member of the board of directors for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the AACE Diabetes Scientific Committee.
