Matthew Ringel, MD

Dr. Matthew Ringel is the Ralph W. Kurtz Professor of Medicine, and Director of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine. He also serves as the Director of the Molecular Biology and Cancer Genetics Program at the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center and is the Deputy Director of the OSU Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences (CCTS).

He has an NIH-funded research program and an active clinical practice focused on thyroid cancer and is involved in clinical trials for thyroid cancer. Dr. Ringel’s laboratory is interested in defining the signaling pathways responsible for aggressive thyroid cancer behavior and late stage metastatic progression with a goal for defining new therapeutic targets.
