Addressing health disparities, one community at a time

We have partnered with the Emory University, Grady Health, and the Clarkston Community Center to bring Atlanta complimentary health services and hormone health education. 

This year's focus is on the following conditions:

Sonya Haw, MD

Dr. Haw is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine and provides clinical care for patients at Grady Memorial Hospital. She devotes part of her time to diabetes research, working closely with her mentor, Dr. Guillermo Umpierrez, on diabetes management. She has taken a leadership role in creating a new clinic specific for transgender care at Grady.

Priyathama Vellanki, MD

Dr. Vellanki is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine and serves as Medical Director at the Grady Endocrinology Clinic. She has a strong background in clinical research with a focus on diabetes and women's health.

Dr. Haines is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and an Assistant Physician at Massachusetts General Hospital. She currently serves as a committee member of the Patient Engagement Committee at the Endocrine Society.

The International Rescue Committee, Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE), and the Dekalb County Board of Health are offering free COVID-19 vaccines and education.
