Call for 2026 Board of Directors Nominations

The Endocrine Society Nominating Committee is seeking dedicated member leaders to serve on the Board of Directors starting in June 2026. If you are passionate about endocrinology, have served on Endocrine Society committees, and want to join the team who will drive the strategy forward, please consider nominating yourself or a colleague for one of the following open positions:

• President-Elect: Candidates must demonstrate leadership skills and familiarity with Society priorities, ideally previous service on the Board of Directors.
• At-Large Directors: (4 open positions) Candidates must have experience serving on Endocrine Society committees, task forces, and/or working groups.

Nominees should possess the following core competencies:

• Organizational Knowledge and Stewardship: Understands and embodies the association’s core values, mission and strategic priorities.
• Strategic Thinking and Leadership: Demonstrates leadership attributes that allow them to positively influence the decision-making process by effectively aligning tasks, priorities, and resources in a thoughtful and strategic way.
• Communication: Demonstrates skills and leadership in communicating efficiently, respectfully, and transparently.
• Collaboration: Appreciates the unique views and opinions of others when building consensus.

Service on the Board of Directors has many advantages, including opportunities to:

• Contribute to the global leadership team that drives the Society strategy
• Expand your knowledge base, enhance your network with colleagues conducting endocrine research or in practice, and exchange ideas toward innovating in endocrinology 
• Proactively address issues that impact our members, their research, and patients worldwide 
• Grow professionally by participating in leadership development training

Nomination Submission: Instructions for nominees

(1) Please review eligibility criteria and position responsibilities on this page. 

(2) After reviewing, log into your Endocrine.org account, view nomination(s) by clicking the ‘committees’ link on the right side of the page, click on the ‘Board of Directors’ nomination link, and indicate whether you are willing to serve on the Board.  

If you are willing to serve, please complete the brief set of questions below. Because the form will time out after 20 minutes, you may wish to draft responses in a separate document and copy/paste answers once completed. You may return at a later time to upload supporting documents. 

(3) After saving responses, please provide the following information using the buttons below.

• Upload a photo (if you do not already have one in My Account)
• Update your Conflict of Interest (COI) Disclosure information (even if no changes, you will need to access the COI form to show a recent review date)
• Upload a recent copy of your CV
• Upload ONE letter of support from a colleague or supervisor addressing how you embody the core competencies and how you would be a good candidate for the Board of Directors

Election and Selection Process

The President-Elect will be elected by Society members from a slate of two candidates developed by the Nominating Committee (NC), based on submitted nominations. The Nominating Committee will appoint the At-Large and Early Career Directors. The official slate of nominees will be presented to the Society membership in early November 2025.
