Health Disparities are differences in the incidence, prevalence, mortality, and burden of diseases and other adverse health conditions that exist among specific population groups.
The Endocrine Society’s Mission to Address Global Endocrine Health Disparities
The Endocrine Society’s Reducing Health Disparities and Improving Care Through Endocrine Science Initiative aims to help bring awareness to the prevalence of endocrine disease among disparate groups, in particular diabetes, obesity, hormone health, osteoporosis, and reproductive health and to support the ongoing work of scientists and clinicians in these areas.
These resources are dedicated to providing the latest information, education and resources for anyone interested in making a difference in helping reduce endocrine-related health disparities.
