Endocrine Society Letter on Potential Aid for Non-Profit Medical & Scientific Organizations Impacted by COVID-19

March 19, 2020

To: Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Leader Mitch McConnell, Leader Kevin McCarthy, and Leader Charles Schumer

"The Endocrine Society has made it a priority to provide our members, and the greater health care and patient communities, with the resources and advice they require to manage this crisis, including the care of the vulnerable patient populations that our members treat. This includes finding digital options to provide education, open access to relevant journal articles, and online medical and scientific resources. However, meetings are the lifeblood for our association and other medical and scientific societies, and tax credits or other federal assistance are needed to protect our limited revenue streams and ensure 501( c) organizations like ours can continue to fulfill our important mission in public service."
