The Endocrine Society has consistently advocated for supplemental research funding in response to COVID-19 to help researchers restart and continue their labs, projects, and clinical trials. Having testimonials from researchers would be extremely helpful to make our case to policymakers and demonstrate need. Personal stories have the greatest impact and help lawmakers understand the practical issues involved and the rationale for additional funds.
The need for additional funds remains urgent, and there is a real danger that the Congress will not agree on a bill with emergency supplemental funds for research. To ensure that your voice is heard, we invite you to share your story by answering the following 3 questions; we intend to use the answers to these questions in our meetings and (with your permission) for potential op-eds and other communications to help advocate for supplemental research funds.
