Avert Scheduled Medicare Cuts

November 10, 2022

Dear members of the Endocrine Society,

The news from Ukraine is distressing to us all. The violent imagery and tragic stories of destruction and loss have caused many of us to wonder if there is anything we can do to help. As a global organization committed to human health worldwide and with members in Ukraine, we want to support the Ukrainian people.

We are asking our members who also feel inclined to help to consider donating to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Donations to the ICRC help provide food, water, and other essential items to those in need as well as support hospitals and primary healthcare facilities with medical equipment and emergency preparedness. And additionally, your support helps families separated by the conflict reconnect.

We are also reaching out to our members in Ukraine to check on them and their families, hear how they have been impacted, and identify any additional means to support them.

It is our hope that we will soon see a peaceful end to this painful war.

Sincerely,

Carol Wysham, MD
