The Society’s 18,000 members represent the best of endocrinology.
Our clinician members improve the health and well-being of countless individuals across the globe. Our research members discover new and ever-more effective treatments for entire population groups. Other members engage in both pursuits or dedicate themselves to teaching the next generation of endocrinologists.
Whatever their pursuits, we love celebrating the accomplishments of these remarkable individuals. That’s the rationale behind our annual and biennial awards.
The Society’s awards include 13 Laureate Awards; four travel awards (Early Investigator Award, Bardin Award, Lieberman Award, and Rosemberg Award); the Outstanding Abstract Award; the Endocrine Images Award; the Transatlantic Alliance Award; the Delbert Fisher Award; and the Baxter Prize.
Over the years, more than 16,800 Society members from around the world and at all stages of their careers have received these awards. The early-career awards have given young professionals the unique opportunity to expand their networks and exchange knowledge with their peers. And our travel-grant awards have helped boost the pipeline of professionals entering our field.
Among the recent winners are the 2027 recipients of the prestigious Laureate Awards, which recently were announced. Laureate recipients are individuals who have distinguished themselves for seminal research, service, leadership, innovation, international contributions, translation of science to practice, and lifetime achievement.
They truly embody the best our field has to offer, and we look forward to celebrating them at ENDO 2027 in Toronto, Canada. Nominations for the 2028 Laureate Awards will open soon.
Other award nomination periods also are opening soon or about to close, so this is your chance to nominate outstanding peers or be recognized yourself. Below are short summaries of each award.

Selection Process
Managing the awards programs is a big task for the Society. Our goal is to uphold the highest standards of excellence as we select recipients who reflect our broad membership from around the world.
To that end, each award has a committee comprised of members and staff who review and select from hundreds of nominations.
The Laureate Awards Committee (LAC), for example, is dedicated to reviewing and selecting winners for the 13 Laureate awards. The Transatlantic Alliance Award jury is comprised of six members (three each from the Endocrine Society and European Society for Endocrinology). And the Baxter Prize jury is a subcommittee of the LAC.
The Society’s awards programs offer something for everyone. We encourage you to nominate your colleagues and/or yourselves for one of these recognitions.
