The Endocrine Society has announced the departure of CEO Kate Fryer, CAE, effective June 5, 2026. Fryer had served in the role since 2021.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank Kate for her contributions during her tenure,” said Carol Lange, PhD, President of the Endocrine Society Board of Directors (Board). “As we enter our next phase of growth, the Board will be seeking leadership to drive our strategic objectives as we unite, lead, and grow the endocrine community to accelerate scientific breakthroughs and improve health worldwide.”
Under Fryer’s leadership, the operating revenue grew more than 10% and the investment portfolio by almost 20%; a new journal—JCEM Case Reports—was launched; a suite of new programs, products, and services were begun that are focused on serving basic scientists, including a partnership with Keystone for boutique conferences; and the Hormone Foundation was re-envisioned. Additionally, under her oversight, the Society merged with the Association of Program Directors in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism (APDEM).
The Board will engage in a formal search process for a Chief Executive Officer.
