Endocrine Society Thanks Senate Sponsors of INSULIN Act of 2026

March 25, 2026

Dear Senators Shaheen, Collins, Warnock, and Kennedy:

On behalf of the Endocrine Society, the world’s largest professional organization of endocrinologists, thank you for introducing the Improving Needed Safeguards for Users of Lifesaving Insulin Now (INSULIN) Act of 2026. We are pleased to endorse this historic legislation and applaud your work to address this issue. The Society has over 18,000 members world-wide composed of scientists, physicians, nurses, and students, many with expertise in caring for people with diabetes. For years our members have expressed their alarm about the lack of access to affordable insulin. Consequently, improving insulin access and affordability is a top priority for the Endocrine Society and we commend you for your commitment to finding a solution that will address out-of-pocket costs for those with private insurance and those who are uninsured.
