Lynnette Nieman, MD is an active clinical investigator, with eleven active protocols and special expertise in disorders of hypercortisolism. She has authored more than 250 publications and sponsored three investigational new drug applications, one of which was licensed in the US and Europe. Dr. Nieman served as an associate editor for the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and is a past member of the Endocrinology and Metabolism subcommittee of the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is the current President of the Endocrine Society and has received the NIH Director’s Award, NIH Clinical Teacher of the Year Award, and the Endocrine Society’s Distinguished Physician award. She has provided Congressional testimony. She is a past Vice President for Clinical Science of the Endocrine Society and Chaired the Society’s 2012 annual meeting.
